My goal every day when I walk into work is not just to give my clients beautiful hair—although that is definitely a high priority. A big goal of mine is to make my clients feel heard, accepted, and understood. I want every client to know that their happiness is my priority. Building that trust and having honest communication are what will allow me to help create your dream hair!

About Me

Get to know me

I'm a professional hairstylist based in Leesburg, Virginia. Before I started my career in cosmetology, I attended Christopher Newport University and earned my BFA in Studio Art, concentrating in oil painting and minoring in Art History. After graduating in 2022, I began my training in cosmetology as an apprentice at Salon Nova under the owner, Kathryn Butterfield, and obtained my cosmetology license. In my 4 years in the beauty industry, I've learned to blend my background in visual arts with my training in hair coloring to create beautiful results. Now, I'm operating my small business out of my own personal suite at Sola Salon Studios in Leesburg, Virginia.

I grew up in Northern Virginia with my parents and four siblings. I'm a cat mom to two and also have a wonderful step-dog. I'm very passionate about animals and enjoy fostering rescue cats when my work schedule allows. I grew up playing soccer and went on to play four years of collegiate soccer at Christopher Newport University, where I won an NCAA National Championship my senior year. My hobbies now include reading, CrossFit, drawing and painting, and spending time with my cats.

I've always been a right-brained person, excelling in creative and artistic fields while having to work harder in subjects that came less naturally to me. Discovering cosmetology always felt meant to be. It feels like the perfect career—one that blends creativity, color, practicality, and helping others.

This service is ideal for clients looking to freshen up their existing style and trim off any split ends. The service includes a shampoo and conditioning cleanse, followed by a professional blow dry for a smooth, polished finish.

Express Haircut with no wash or style

This service is ideal for clients looking for a quick trim to freshen up their hair and clean up any split ends. This service does not include a shampoo. Clients must arrive with clean hair in its natural state—curly hair should be worn in its natural texture, and hair that is typically worn straight should be worn straight.

Partial foil

This service includes a half head of foils using highlights and/or lowlights to enhance dimension and depth. Foils are strategically placed in high-impact areas around the face and through the crown for a bright, blended, and natural-looking result. This service is ideal for you if you're looking for a foil refresh or to add a natural pop to your hair.

This service includes a half head of foils placed in high-impact areas around the face and crown. Highlights and/or lowlights are used to enhance dimension and depth, along with a base color touch-up or a global gloss/toner applied over the foil work. This service is ideal for clients looking to refresh their existing color, add subtle dimension, and cover gray hair or deposit tone between or over the foils.

This service includes a full head of foils using highlights and/or lowlights, with foils placed throughout the entire head to achieve maximum blend while enhancing brightness and dimension. It is ideal for clients seeking a more dramatic transformation, offering greater brightness and depth than a partial foil, while still offering natural dimension.

This service includes a full head of foils using highlights and/or lowlights to achieve maximum blend, brightness, and dimension, paired with a base color touch-up or a global gloss/toner applied over the foil work. Color Services

Balayage lightening service

This service includes a full head of hand-painted highlights using the balayage technique. Balayage processes in open air rather than foils, allowing for a softer, more subtle lift. It is ideal for clients seeking a natural, dimensional look and a low-maintenance result, as the gentle effect allows for a seamless grow-out over time.

I don't know what service to book?

Under the Scheduling tab, there are descriptions of each service to help guide your choice in what to book. If you are still unsure after reading through my service menu, you can reach out to me directly via phone or email.

Can I bring a friend/child/pet with me to my appointment?

Yes, extra guests are welcome, but due to limited space in the studio, they may have to sit and wait in a designated waiting area.

The studio space is curated for adults and contains sharp objects and chemicals, and is also a shared space with other businesses. So, although children are definitely welcome to attend your appointment, please keep this in mind and use your best judgment when deciding whether your child will be able to thrive in this type of environment.

Only authorized and medically issued service animals are allowed in the salon due to health codes issued by the Virginia State Board of Cosmetology.

What forms of payment do you accept?

All major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, cash, and checks are accepted. Cash and checks are preferred to limit processing fees.

What is your cancellation policy?

I completely understand how life happens. I do ask that you notify me 48 hours before your appointment time for any cancellations. This will help me by allowing me time to adjust my schedule and fill your appointment slot. Any appointment rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice can result in a charge of up to 50% of your service fee. Any no-show appointments could result in a charge of up to 100% of your service fee.
